Prior to founding the Firm, Dafer worked in Hatem Abbas Ghazzawi & Co Law Firm, which is considered as one of the leading law firms in Saudi Arabia, where he gained a wealth of exposure advising leading businesses and conglomerates, both Saudi based and foreign. After founding Thamer & Dafer Law Firm, Dafer has advised and represented local and International clients in respect of Arbitration and Litigation matters. Dafer is serving now as an Arbitrator in two different Arbitration proceedings in Saudi Arabia.

Thamer Althobaity

Thamer has broad experience in corporate and litigation matters in Saudi Arabia. For several years, he has advised and represented corporations and family-owned companies across a variety of sectors in relation to corporate litigation and arbitration. Thamer’s strong business experience has augmented his legal acumen. His experience translates into a vigorous understanding of client needs and expectations across the legal and business continuum.

Salma Hammad

With more than ten years’ experience working as legal counsel with financial institutions, Salma has developed a wide range of expertise in legal aspects of banking and financial systems, empowering her as an effective and valuable member of the firm’s legal team. Salma’s proven track record in managing complex tasks, and prioritizing issues across disciplines and functions, stems from strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivities that have helped her leverage legal experience in the service of attaining business objectives—across multifaceted organizational contexts. These skills were critical in helping her, as the first female member of Kuwait Finance House’s Legal Department, to meet the requirements of her last position there, as Deputy General Counsel (International Contracts and Transactions); and they continue to inform her present international practice of working with various entities across the Gulf region as well as in the wider Middle East

Yazeed Al Shami

Yazeed Alshami is a licensed lawyer with more than seven years of experience as a lawyer and legal consultant in various legal aspects. Prior to joining the Firm, Yazeed worked in a well-recognized law firm, in Riyadh. Yazeed’s depth of understanding of Islamic Jurisprudence, and his extensive experience in litigation provided him with an excellent approach that helped our clients.

Yazeed is a Saudi Qualified Lawyer, and his educational qualifications include:
